Finally decided on a playstyle for Elder Scrolls Online

I experimented with every class and multiple races until I finally decided on what my main character is going to be (for now).  After spending time trying out various melee builds both tanking and DPS I fell back in to my comfort zone of blasting enemies from afar with arcane energy.  I love the versatility of this game, but I do admit it handcuffed me for a bit trying to narrow down my selection.  What I finally settled on was creating a High Elf Sorcerer of the Ebonheart pact, Gutvyk the Sojourner.

Gutvyk the Sojourner I am still very early in the game but am really enjoying the questing, exploration and leveling system.  I am going straight old school mage with a destruction staff and hurling Mage’s fury, crystal shard, and wall of elements at my enemies. I did play with the idea of being a dual wielding or bow sorcerer but settled on the classic approach for my first character to keep it simple.  After checking out some builds online I am casually following a leveling build I found searching through the forums,  ESO – Sorcerer Build.

If there is anyone else kicking around the lower levels on the PS4 feel free to look me up.  Also let me know what classes you like so when I eventually make an alternate I have some choices.

Sometimes I just don’t understand people…

Thursday we added three people to my Automation project.  It’s a good opportunity for these operators because it offers them a chance to become specialists on the sites new equipment.

After the shift I talked to some of the contractors they were assisting and hands down they said two of the guys were amazing, very hard workers.  The third was described as the worst person they had ever had to work with in the last 30 years!

I guess the third operator took it upon himself to “test” the system by purposely doing things wrong when they were trying to debug system. He also tore a strip of a junior programmer stating that he is responsible for people losing their jobs because of the new equipment, which is not true.

It’s unfortunate that one individual can paint such a bad image of our site.  Needless to say the third operator is no longer involved in the project. I don’t understand what would drive them to act this, especially since they told me themselves that they were trying to get in the sites good books for other opportunities. I have a feeling after talking to the Project Lead  that this incident will be a big step back for them in that regard.

The downside of modern gaming…

One of my biggest frustrations about the new age of gaming is day one necessary upgrades.

I had the fortune to leave work 2 hours early today and decided to pick up a copy of Elder Scrolls Online.  I didn’t have any grand plans of playing, I was just hoping to log in and create my character and work my way through some of the tutorial.  I excitedly booted up my PS4 and put in the game only to be met with a 15GB update (estimated download time of ~7 hours).

At times like this I truly miss the days when you got to play the game right out of the box.

I am still looking forward to playing Elder Scrolls Online, unfortunately my introduction to the game will be slightly delayed.
